Christmas Snap Shots Around The House

Merry Merry Christmas everyone! I know by the time this post goes live
it will be too late to wish you a Merry Christmas but technically as I am typing this
post late Tuesday night (on Christmas Day) it still counts!!!

I was running really late decorating, gift-wrapping, cooking, etc this year, so this post
is also late....you might all be totally done looking at Christmas Decor pictures by now,
but heyyyy it's still winter, right?

Here is a little corner in the kitchen nook, I love this vintage crate with a demijohn I found
a few years ago. Looks amazing with string lights for all seasons.

Would Love Your Input On Choosing A Paint Color

Hi sweet friends, totally boring post today!
You might remember me mentioning in a previous post that I don't like the paint color
in our dining room I repainted a while ago (too much yellow in it).  Well I am getting
ready to have the room repainted and today I slapped on some Sherwin Williams

paint samples on each wall in the dining room. Would love to hear
your thoughts...

I suck picking paint colors (CLEARLY, otherwise I would not have to re-paint the room) ...lol

A Little Bar In A Crate

Happy Presidents Day Loves!!! I hope you guys are enjoying the extra day off today!
I've spend all day in my PJ's yesterday, being lazy for a big part of the day !!!
On the "non-lazy" part of the day I re-arranged some stuff in the dining room.
I wanted to show you the little mini-bar I made out of an old crate.

As you guys know, I love to decorate with old crates, one can never have enough.
I just added some candles and straws along with the very few bottles of booze
I found in the pantry. I think it's just enough to qualify as a bar!!!

A SIMPLE Little Christmas Tour

I promised you "inside" Christmas pictures in my last post.
If I don't hurry, Christmas will be over and done with!

So let's get right to it, welcome to our entry

I purchased a bunch of STRALA stars from IKEA this year
and wanted them to be the main focus of our Christmas Decor

Sharing My Sweet Friends BEFORE AND AFTER Home Tour

Today I want to share a dear friend's house with you.
My friend was very tired of her decor style and ask me to
help re-decorate various rooms in her house

She didn't really know where to even start and what style she wanted.
So I put my thinking cap on and created a few collages in PicMonkey

A Few New Goodies And Some Progress In The Dining Room

Hello Sweeties near and far away, I wanted to share a few new goodies with you today.
I worked a tiny bit on our formal dining room Friday night. I am such a slacker.....
it's been month and it's still not all finished and pulled together.

So last week I went to Cost Plus World Market and found these super gorgeous
Distressed Metal Filigree Lucy Lanterns .
I put them on the window sill in the dining room

DIY Rope Tie Backs -- Restoration Hardware Inpired

Hola Amiga's, how was your weekend? We still have my family visiting from Germany so I have been extra busy. But I wanted to share a tiny little project I did with the help from my Mom. I have been wanting to get "Rope Tie Backs" for our downstairs curtains to add a little PAZAAAAM !!!!!
I have seen gorgeous rope tie backs at places like Restoration Hardware, but the cost is $60 for one and I needed four...So we needed to come up with a DIY solution. Now being the lazy person that I am and at all cost trying to avoid getting out the drill, here is what we did
 .

My First Cowhide Rug

Hello Everyone,  Well I finally jumped on the cowhide wagon and got myself a
"MOO MOO" cow for our dining room. You might remember my plans for a new
Dining Room Look ? Well it's coming along slowly but surely!

On my  IKEA Shopping Trip last weekend, I purchased this brown cowhide
with a few little white spots on it.

Dining Room Design Board

Hello Sweets, I am so excited to share my very first design board with you today.
I used PicMonkey to create this inspirational board for our dining room.
Since I am such a visual person, I feel this board will really help me pull
things together when I get to the final stage.

While searching for Dining Room inspirations on the web, I've learned what really attracts me.
Here is the scoop: I love creamy light slipcovers and darker tables, white sheer curtains,
jute rugs layered with a cowhide rug, wicker baskets and the contrast of black & whites.

Adding Burlap To My Lamp Shades & Some More Little Bits

Hello Peeps, I made a little change to my lamp shades in the Family Room yesterday. I tied some burlap ribbon around the white shades and voila....a nice little refreshing change....
