2016 in Review

Hello and Happy New Year and all the best to all of you!!! Another year has gone by
so fast and here we are in 2017.

We still have family over from Germany, so it's been a little slow on my blog
and I am wayyyyy behind on catching up on reading everybody else's  blogs.

I typed up this quick post last night with a look back of my top posts from 2016. This might
give you a chance to catch up on some posts you might have missed during the year.

DIY Personalized Birthday Gift Idea

Hello Loves, have you all made it into October alright? Well, I am already down
with my first cold of the new season !!! FIGURES!!!

I wanted to share a quick little project I made last weekend. I was invited to a
60th Birthday Party and I wanted to bring a "little something special and
personal" to the birthday girl. Earlier that morning I went to a local bazaar and
purchased another galvanized bucket (which one can never have enough of...lol).
Once I got home I stenciled her birth year onto the bucket.

Project Challenge: CHALK PAINT

Hello guys, are you ready for another DIY blogger challenge?

I sure hope so, cuz this month's challenge is "CHALK PAINT"
and I luv me some chalk paint!!!! Do you have an item
at home that you don't like anymore? Well, before you get rid of it
try painting it with chalk paint, you might be surprised at the outcome.

I had a laundry detergent container sitting in the closet for years,
but didn't want to throw it out, because I remembered it was
expansive at the time.

Project Challenge: CLOCK FACE

Hello there sweets, another month has flown by and here we are again with yet another
DIY blogger challenge. If this is your first time here, let me explain what's going on.
Each month a group of us bloggers have a different project challenge to come up with.
This month the challenge given was  CLOCK FACE ....hmmmmm  tricky one right?

I choose to make something fun & playful for our bonus/playroom, since we
are just in the process of re-doing that space. Since our son is truly
a night-owl, it seemed only perfect to make a clock with the theme
"Night Owl" (our rabbit approved, I might add)!

Lantern Transformation

I have been wanting a couple of large lanterns for a while, but seems like the really big ones are well over $100 each. Last weekend at Ross I found these UGLY Arabian style lanterns. I got both of them for $60. I hated the shiny silver tops but really liked the shape. So I figured for that price, I'd give them a coat of Spraypaint!

My DIY's

 Moss Star

This cute Metal Star hung on my front porch window. It just sorta disappeared to nothing on the large window, so I thought I'd spruce it up a bit. All you need is a glue gun and some fake moss...

Taaaa Daaaaa

so much better...
