Project Mudroom Organization

Hi there loves, how is your November going so far? Well, I seem to have gotten bit my the organizing bug. I spend this weekend cleaning out the garage and closets and making Goodwill runs. I really don't enjoy organizing a whole lot but it sure feels good when you are done and you can actually find things and open
a closet door without having baskets and boxes attacking you.

One area I need to not only de-clutter but also re-think and re-do is our little mudroom. The cold & wet weather is here now and our mudroom gets so crowded with jackets and boots. I currently use baskets and crates for shoe storage but that is not working well, the boys just keep throwing their shoes on the ground
as they come in and I keep picking them up....over and over... We need a different system!
I put together this Inspiration Board/Wishlist to help me get started.
I needed a plan and found everything here:

A few new things from IKEA

Hello Sweets, my friend Jill and I went to IKEA yesterday and did a little damage between the two of us.
I am really busy today, so here are some quick pictures of some new treasures throughout the house.

I got these beautiful white MATILDA curtains for our Master Bedroom. They have a little pattern to it that I love. The wicker trunk is also from Ikea, but I've had it for a while.

Our Tiny Mudroom

Hello Peeps, today I want to share our tiny mudroom. Actually, I shouldn't' even call it a room, it's really just a little area you walk into as you enter the house from the garage. It has been driving me crazy for a while now. It's mostly a big mess of shoes and coats. So I finally started cleaning up and decorating a bit. We actually have another coat closet just around the corner, so I moved everything we don't use on a daily basis in there, let's hope we can keep this area a little less cluttered for a while.

I actually forgot to take a BEFORE picture..sorry! I was too excited to start de-cluttering....

Guest Bedroom and Rusty Buckets

Hello Everyone, I've had a pretty busy weekend and really no time to post about anything worth BRAGGING about...lol...so I thought I'd just share some inspirations of how I decorate with old buckets around my house and a cool organizing idea for the Guest/Kids Bathroom.

So here we go, first off an old flower bucket used as a trashcan. I just wrapped some burlap ribbon around it and it totally dressed it up.

Old Toolbox to Art Caddy

Hey there Sweeties near and far away, I have been busy this weekend with a friends Baby shower but I did manage a quick shopping trip to the cutest little store in McCleary, WA called Little Hill Farm. (Here is their Facebook link Little Hill Farm/Facebook Page). I found an old wooden tool box and I knew exactly what to do with it. I made it into a little Art Tray for Robbie's pens.

I freed up an entire drawer in the pantry that was stuffed with all of his stuff  plus he he can just pick the entire box up,  take it to the table and have much better access to everything.

Touch-Up Buddy

Hi Peeps,  today's post might be a bit boring but "oh so USEFUL"!!!!
We have a few bold wall colors in our house and with a little boy plus his friends running around, whipping around the corners with nerf-guns, walkie talkies etc. the walls take a beating. And since some of our wall colors are on the dark side, getting a chip really shows. I don't know about you but I always hate having to go into the garage, opening the heavy 5 gallon paint buckets for just a few drops of needed touch up paint.
