Hello and Happy Weekend Sweets, if you have been following me for a while you know that I am
a sucker for old buckets. This time of year I love to use them for my flowers outside.
I wanted to "cutify" them a bit, so I got out some paint.
to compliment the white Adirondack chairs.
For the Polka Dots I used "foam dabbers" in a couple of different sizes.
For the Polka Dots I used "foam dabbers" in a couple of different sizes.
This one got black polka-dots . I can't decide if I like the white
or black polka dots better?
ohhhh and the cutest bucket of all now belongs to
our Bunny. It got turned into a "Bunny Snack Bar",
planted with a yummy peppermint plant..LOL
I used a stencil for the "Bunny Bar" letters.
The black letters got covered with tiny
white polka dots. I used cookie cutters
to trace the bunny and heart.

While hanging out on the back porch
waiting for Bugsy to discover the
peppermint plant, I took these pics........
uhhhh, wrong critter passing by...
And I want to share a new goodie I found.
Remember my little Outdoor Beverage Station ?
Well I found the perfect "food dome" at
World Market for it. LOVE IT!

ReplyDeleteChristine, I will say, they are cute. I like the white dots to go with the chairs and band on the inverted barrel. So cute are your house. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteToday I planted my last flower in a bucket. That is number 7, I'm a bucket gal too. But mine all look blah, I needed a visual on something cute and simple to dress them up. Thanks!

Your buckets are so cute. Love your bunny. We had one almost like yours when the kids were young. It used to play with the cat. :)

ReplyDeleteSo cute and creative! Thanks for sharing on the Thursday Blog hop!!
ReplyDeleteBunny is just too cute as are those buckets! It's probably a good thing that there isn't a World Market anywhere around here. Gordman's is opening on the 17th of this month and I'm tempted to be one of those people that camp out overnight to be the first in line. My family would really think I've gone over the edge, LOL!! Have a fun and relaxing holiday!
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of old buckets left from my daughters wedding. I never thought to paint them. These are so cute. I LOVE the Bunny Bar. What a hoot. I could plant some catnip in one and make it a kitten bar. LOL Very clever and pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great idea! I can't wait to try it.

ReplyDeleteI highlighted you tonight in centerpiece Wednesday :) http://thestylesisters.blogspot.com/2014/07/centerpiece-wednesday.html
ReplyDeletegreat idea with the polka dots on the pails. and I love your bunny, so cute. And his little turtle friend! thanks for following me; I'm following you as well.
ReplyDeleteI love these old metal buckets too!! I planted some flowers in a few of mine this year but they died so quickly! I think net round I need to punch some holes in the bottom so that the water can actually drain out when we have torrential downpours!
ReplyDeleteI <3 the polkadots! Pinned and new follow:)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute upgrade to the metal buckets! Polka dots for the win!
ReplyDeleteCUTE!!! I love the white spots personally :) but they are all great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at What You Wish Wednesday… can't wait to read more!
eeeenyie meeniiiiee minnnyyy moe, which bucket will I pick of them all? Can't decide, maybe the bunny bar, so cute, you have such an incredible imagination. Do you rush home from work with ideas to make cute stuff?
ReplyDeleteYour bunny is so cuddly looking. Not sure what our chickens or cat would think of a bunny. Cat is afraid of chickens, who'da thunk it? Seems like more critters we get the more I want. Let's see, how about a pygmy goat?
Now where can I find some metal buckets? Where did you find that galvanized tray? I've been wanting one but ones I do find are ridiculously priced. Have wonderful week
ohhh you can find them at antique stores, but they might be a bit on the spendy side. The best is if you can find a spring bazaar in your area with local vendors. You should not have to pay more than 20 Dollars for an old bucket like that......HUGS
DeleteChrisitne
