Hi Sweets, finally I found some lamps I like for our Family Room this weekend at Worldmarket and wanted to share them real quick. For those of you that have been following me for a bit you may remember my post Family-room-in-progress Ohhhh and PLEASE excuse our Newfies black furry "behind" in the picture. I didn't feel like moving him..lol
I originally really wanted burlap shades, turned out Worldmarket had them, but they just didn't look good in front of the beige wall. See pic below....it just was all too brown, don't you agree? The cream color just adds a bit more contrast.
so now all I need is the perfect pillows to add color to the room..the hunt is on!!! I'd love to get feedback from you! Happy Tuesday everyone.
Christine
I love your new lamps! They have a wonderful patina on the wood bases. I do like the contrast of the lighter colored shades too. Btw, I gave your name to Brenda at Cozy Little Cottage for you to be featured on her Welcome Wagon post. I don't know if she has contacted you yet, but she will.
ReplyDeleteOh Thanks so much Kelly for passing on my info to your friend. I would love that!!!
DeleteEverything looks just great but this is where I'd now bring in some color with pillows...aqua, green or any color that is your fav! I'm your newest follower and on pinterest too!

Those are great lamps. I agree the lighter shade offers more contrast. Maybe some pillows that will offer some of the lighter shade, and the other colors you have will work nicely. Isn't it fun to pull things together! Visiting from Tuesdays at our Home.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, thanks so much for visiting...I just ordered some new pillows on Etsy. Still waiting for the postman....I will definitely post pics when I get them....Thanks for commenting
