My First Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Project

Hello and Happy Friday Sweets, I have lots of errands to run
today so making this post very short. I took my very first Annie Sloan
chalk paint class last weekend with my friend Jenn and I
wanted to share our projects with you.

I had these 3 dark brown candle holders in our
master bathroom that I gave a make-over.
I painted them with 2 coats of Annie Sloan cocoa paint
and finished them off with both clear and dark wax.

Here we are, at the class in Olympia's  Court Yard Antiques

Here is my friend Jenn's project.

Doesen't that tray look awesome in her beautiful dining room?
Annie Sloan chalk paint covers practically any surface
and requires no sanding. I have lots of plans brewing
in my head for more and bigger projects with
Annie Sloan Paint.

I hope you had a wonderful Turkey day yesterday.
Here is Robbie and I yesterday, waiting in the car for
Daddy (who is always the last one in the car) on our way
to spend the day with family and friends.

  3. What a beautiful job! I love how your candle holders turned out. It's like they were screaming to be made into what they were truly intended to be. The details are so much more visible! ;)

  4. Love Robbie's photo!

You and Jenn make me want to dig out stuff I haven't used for years to see how I could improve them.

Have you taken Courtyard's upholstery class? The class they have listed is for dining room chairs...which is pretty easy if you have an electric staple gun. I'm interested in an upholstery class that's more complicated. I know I can ask Courtyard but I want to gather user "reviews" first.

  7. what color paint did you use for the tray? are the dark streaks just showing through of the older paint or is that added? it also looks like there's some variation in color. is that 2 different colors of the paint? I like being able to cover dark with lighter. more details please. thanks, karen

  17. Hi! I found youre link-up over at Making Monday! Inbetween all the food related link ups, yourse caught my eye. You had me at chalk paint:) I allso am totally adicted to chalkpaint, and now allso milkpaint. Actually, nothing is safe in our home. Iwant to paint everything I can get my hands on! Haha... It is amazing what it can do to stuff that "normal" paint cant. As you mentioned, it will stick to almost everything, without any prepping! How great is`nt that??
I love how the chalkpaint really brought out the details on your candlesticks. Its as if they are totally different. Great work:)
Allso, I have to mention; youre hair looks amazing!
Please stop by my blog sometime, and look at some other stuff painted with chalkpaint and milkpaint:)
