A Little Stool Make-Over

Hello and Happy Sunday everyone....Today I am sharing a little stool make-over with you.

I had this cute little PIER 1 stool for years in my dining room.

It was still in super shape but I have slowly been getting rid of the terra-cotta accents in our dining room. So I purchased some off - white fabric, used a cute stencil I found at JoAnne's Fabrics, a little fabric paint and some upholstery nail heads was all I needed.

I need to mention that I did this project while my Mom was here visiting, so once again...I can't take all the credit.  That is actually her arm hammering the nails into the wood!
The fabric paint I used was a brownish-red, so it goes beautiful in our Master Bedroom, since the wall colors are ginger red. What do you think?

El Perfecto???? lol
That's all I got this weekend. Have a wonderful Veterans Day off tomorrow!
Christine

  7. Y'all did a great job on that stool! I've recovered a stool like that before but it didn't look as professional as yours. It looks like you got the fabric on there just right. I love the simpler look you gave it.

  12. Good Morning Christine, Isn't it lovely when our mum's comes to visit. Your mum sounds just like me, I help my daughters with all sorts of things when I visit them. Your stool is lovely and so much fresher looking, now that you have covered and stenciled it.... I love it.
    Best Wishes

  18. That's lovely. I had a go and recovering a similar thing a few months ago, it has a lid that lifts up so you can hid all your stuff inside. I found it hard to pull the fabric tight enough so it's a bit wrinkly. OK but no where near as nice as yours. Any quick tips?

    1. Hi Julia, thanks so much for the sweet comment...you know my Mom as the one who pulled the fabric, so I can't take credit for that part. But I think one thing that helped was the fact that the fabric we used was not very thick. Do send me the link of your little make over..would love to see!!!!
