Hi there sweet peeps, I haven't been up to all that much this week.
But I did manage to hang up a little chandelier on my front porch today.
The chandelier is actually meant for indoors, the candles
are battery operated. But I really wanted it for my porch.
So if it gets a little rusty over time -- even better!
I sure hope I am not boring you guys with all these outdoor posts lately.
Seems like my last 3 or 4 posts were all porch and garden related.
But you see, here in WA State we don't have very long summers,
so I am trying to enjoy working on the outside while I can!
We sure have been enjoying our new Adirondack chairs from World Market
And before I go, here is a little cuteness for ya. While I was
working on my blog last weekend, I had some help from Bugsy and Willie
out on the back porch. And nooooo, they were not in the slightest bit interested
in having a RACE, just chillin with me on the back patio! LOL
And one more super cute picture for you....this is my best friends Persian Kittie LouLou. She lives in beautiful Bavaria/Germany. My friend has been re-decorating her kitchen and she had e-mailed me me these pictures. I asked her right away if she would let me use them on my blog this week. SOOOO cute!
Christine - Seems like every time I click a link that I'm drawn to at a linky party, it's from Little Brags! LOL! Love the chandelier, and I love your outdoor posts - we also have only a couple of months to enjoy the outdoors, so we practically live outside in the summer.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pic from your friend! So funny!
Hope to see you at Merry Monday :) tonight! Hope you're having a great weekend! Julia
The cat is too funny! My Callie gets in the paint sometimes too. It makes her so mad. I think, YOU DID IT!
ReplyDeleteChristine - don't apologize for all the great patio posts...I Love them!! I pinned that picture of your chairs because I am in LOVE with the way the trim was done around the windows on your home. We have sold our current home and are purchasing a small ranch that needs some outdoor updates - this trim is one that I will definitely be using - I will be sure and show you how it turns out!!

your outdoor space is gorgeous. I am the same as you, in Wisconsin and we get about 3 months of summer. I am taking it all in now. I find myself trying to do anything and everything outside just because I can!
ReplyDeleteEmily- Our house now a home
Why is it that every time I come to visit you you have the cutest little animals there? Too cute that you really have your own tortoise and hare! I love your new lantern outside. Your porch is so inviting and looks much better than mine at the moment. Hoping to remedy that today! My husband and I will be getting soaked with bleach and a hose on our front porch today. Time to give it a good cleaning. It sits under a lot of trees so the mildew and pollen gets bad. Hope to share it in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the Link Up this week!
Gorgeous porch and I have a soft spot for lighting so I adore your outdoor chandy! Thanks so much for linking up to Monday Funday!! Pinned and shared! xo Heather

ReplyDeleteChristine, I'm with you on loving the outdoors as long as it's not unbelievably hot. Love your new chairs and always look to see what is on your arched top gate, too. Mine has the red, white, and blue butterfly, that I think you have seen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing,

ReplyDeleteDanke für das Kompliment, nein, das ist leider nicht mein Hund, der gehört meiner Freundin.

ReplyDeleteHi, Christine. I found your blog over at Crafts a la mode link-up party. I love a decorated porch and I really like you you have decorated yours...simple, comfortable, and creative. I really like your natural log bench and the chandelier really compliments the sitting area. Very nice! Feel free to stop over and check out my blog, "Cairn Cottage", as well.

Cute! I have a similar one hanging in my storage. Used it in my living room until we added bead board and then didn't know what to do with it. Hoping to hang it in my future garden shed. What cuteness to hang out on the porch with! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
That is so charming and looks pretty well protected there on your porch -- great addition! Don't blame you a bit for wanting to enjoy summer while it lasts. We have lived in WA & OR and completely understand just how short the summers can be. Super-cute little friends you have there!
