Creating An Outdoor Oasis with Arhaus

Hello and Happy Summer Loves! How is your summer going so far? Do you have a patio/deck or outdoor space that you like to hang out on this time of year?

Well, lately I have been thinking a lot about our outdoor spaces and how I
could create more of an outdoor living space, rather than just a cute space.
I want to be able to bring the warmth and comfort from the inside to the outside.
We don't have a large backyard, but it's plenty big for what we use it for.

I love what I have done so far (see below),
especially without having spent a lot of MULAHHHH at all, but with summer having
arrived I want to create more of an extended living space outside.
Well, coming to think of it maybe summer has not yet officially arrived
in the Pacific NW yet...lol

While searching the web for outdoor furniture ideas I ran across  ARHAUS's outdoor collection
and I put together a collage on how I picture our Dream Patio (insert drool mark here)

This collage has so many of my favorite things: High quality rattan outdoor
furniture (pinch me), lanterns, candles, outdoor poufs and so on.

So here is my wish list and some tips for creating an "Outdoor Oasis":

I've always wanted some large outdoor chaises to add to the back patio
and lounge on taking a nap or reading a book. But if you have a small space
like a balcony use small chairs, stools or even a narrow bench instead for seating.

and an outdoor umbrella is a must so you won't have to avoid going outdoors
for fear of burning to a crisp (not that this actually a big problem in Olympia, WA).

Personally I absolutely love ANYTHING Rattan & Wicker for both inside and out.
There is something about it that adds so much coziness. So what a treat
to find that ARHAUS has such high quality outdoor rattan furniture.
However even a wicker basket with throws in the corner will do the trick.

I also love having a fire pit outside, especially one that can be moved around
such as this one below. You can make smores and keep warm on chilly nights.

Lanterns are always, always a favorite of mine,
they dress up any space in no time.

Pots and containers for flowers are a must,
I happen to have a big crush on anything that is galvanized !!!

Poufs are super great for additional seating and they
add interest and color.

I can not even begin to tell you how much I love these river rock tealight holders
dressed up with a touch of moss....genius. Using anything that looks like
nature in decor is always a favorite of mine.

And last but not least you must add fabric with pillows,
throws and rugs.

I hope I inspired you all a little!!!

I had tons of fun putting the collage together and browsing

through Arhaus's site. Below are links with items

used in my dream collage.

  1. I love your choices! I'm still patiently waiting on my husband building us a fire pit. I will faint if it ever happens! Ha! That portable one you featured looks nice. I love those lounge chairs too. Those would be nice when the sun isn't burning up our back deck.
