Hello Lovelies. How has your weekend been?
I was at Ross the other day and found
this cute little "Bajot Stand" for a bargain price.
I wasn't crazy about the color, but figured I could
give it a Do-Over with some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint
I used GRAPHITE by Annie Sloan
and some clear wax to finish
How do you like it?
I found a great spot for it in our foyer
Ohhhh and before I go I want to share another "Annie Sloan Chalk Paint" Project I did recently
in the Lobby at my Work Place. We recently painted this bold red accent wall in the lobby
and the golden elegant mirror just didn't look good anymore. So I painted the frame with
"Annie Sloan Graphite" as well and rubbed some silver finishing paint on it to bring
out the carvings. Much better, don't you think???
Awesome! I love that vignette and you just made it even better!
ReplyDeleteGreat transformations, the mirror I love the most, I like how you brought out the details.
ReplyDeleteI love how you painted that stand. That was a great find! I haven't used that color from ASCP yet. It really updated that mirror frame in your lobby too. Did you do that there? That mirror would've been huge to take in your car.
ReplyDeleteSmall miracles but so effective, great color choice for bijot stand as well as mirror. They both look so much better with graphite color. After seeing what effect it made on those two pieces I have to try it. Have couple pieces in mind in my own home. I'll have to go scout at Ross, see what little jewels I can find. Rarely go in there as usually spend all my time in that shopping strip in Michaels but looks like I need to give Ross another try.
ReplyDeleteHow you snazzied up that mirror gave it such effect, brought out details on mirror, gold ugh, graphite/silver yeah.
Hope you have bright sunshiny Monday and rest of week.

Hi Christine, just found you. Not sure where i started but just kept clicking over and "voila ", so very happy i did that. I love your entryway, it has given me some great ideas for my own. I sure hope you get your wrought iron staircase, your inspiration picture is beautiful. Maybe just paint black until you can afford to replace it. I also have a thing for large lanterns, i have 3 now but i am always on the hunt for more. Love your blog, I'll be back. Have a wonderful week. Sincerely, Diena
